What vaccinations are required?
We require all dogs to be up to date on Rabies, DHPP (or DAPP), Lepto and Bordetella. Proof of vaccination is required before your dog’s first visit.
What should I bring for my dog’s daycare/boarding stay?
For daycare, nothing is required.
For boarding, please bring:
– Your dog’s regular food (labelled)
– Any medications with clear instructions
– Optional: a comfort item (blanket or toy)Do you accept puppies?
Yes! Puppies must have completed their second round of vaccines and be at least 12 weeks old.
Do you accept intact (non-neutered) dogs?
We accept intact males on a case-by-case basis depending on temperament.
We cannot accept females in heat for safety reasons.How do you handle dogs with anxiety?
We take a slow, gentle approach. Our facility is designed with quiet zones, DOGTV, soothing scent diffusers, and staff trained in calming techniques. We will never force a dog into a situation they aren’t comfortable with.
How do you introduce my dog to the group?
Every new dog receives a temperament assessment and a slow introduction to ensure they’re a good fit. We start with one-on-one time and gradually introduce them to other dogs.
What is the staff-to-dog ratio?
We maintain a low ratio to ensure safety, supervision, and personalized care. Ratios vary depending on group size and energy levels.
How often do dogs go outside?
Dogs go outside multiple times throughout the day for potty breaks, outdoor play, enrichment, and fresh air.
Where do dogs sleep during overnight boarding?
Dogs sleep in cozy private suites or comfortable crate setups depending on their needs. We maintain a calm, restful environment.
Can I see photos or videos of my dog during their stay?
Yes! We post regular updates on our social media and send personal updates for overnights.
Do you administer medications?
Yes, we can administer oral medications at no extra cost.
(Injectables are not offered.)Do you offer trial days for new dogs?
Yes — we recommend a two-hour trial for all first-time guests.
What happens if my dog gets sick or injured?
Your dog will be monitored closely, and we will contact you immediately. If veterinary care is needed, we will transport them to your preferred vet if available, or to the nearest open clinic.
Are there breed restrictions?
No — all breeds are welcome. We focus on temperament, not breed.
What is DOGTV and how do you use it?
DOGTV is a science-backed TV channel made specifically for dogs to reduce stress and provide comfort. We use it in our quiet zones and resting areas to help dogs feel relaxed and at home.

What grooming services do you offer?
We offer baths, brush-outs, nail trims, deshedding, full grooms, puppy grooms, and specialty cuts.
How long does grooming take?
Grooming usually takes 1.5–3 hours depending on coat type, service level, and your dog’s comfort.
Can I stay with my dog during grooming?
We do not allow owners to stay in the grooming room. Dogs relax more when they’re not trying to “get back to Mom or Dad.”
Do you groom anxious or reactive dogs?
We are happy to groom dogs who are a little nervous, but we do not groom reactive dogs at this time for safety reasons.
If your dog has a history of biting, snapping, or reacting aggressively to grooming, we recommend using a groomer who specializes in behavioural grooms or sedation-assisted grooming through your veterinarian.Our priority is keeping every dog — and our staff — safe and comfortable.
What products do you use?
We use premium, hypoallergenic, dog-safe shampoos and conditioners suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
What if my dog has allergies or skin sensitivities?
Just let us know! You can bring your own vet-prescribed shampoo, and we’ll follow all instructions.

What is included in the wedding package?
Transportation, 2 hours of on-site pup supervision, ceremony support, photo coordination, guest greetings, and an overnight stay at DoggyLand.
Can you handle more than one dog?
Absolutely — we can accommodate multiple household dogs with an added fee.
How far will you travel?
We service Cranbrook and surrounding areas. Travel beyond city limits is billed at a per-km rate.
Can you help my dog walk down the aisle or carry the rings?
Yes! We can guide your dog down the aisle and can assist with real or faux ring delivery.
Do you provide wedding outfits or accessories?
We have simple accessories available (bows, floral collars, ties). You’re welcome to supply your own as well.
Do you attend the reception?
We typically stay through the ceremony + photos. Additional reception coverage can be added by the hour.
Can my dog stay overnight after the wedding?
Yes — the overnight stay at DoggyLand is included in the base package.
What if my dog becomes stressed at the wedding?
We adjust immediately. Your dog’s comfort is top priority. We provide breaks, quiet spaces, water, and a calming approach. If needed, we can safely step away from the crowd.
How early should we book?
We recommend booking 6–12 months in advance, especially for summer weekends.

We are located in Cranbrook, BC on a beautiful property with indoor and outdoor play zones, a grooming studio, and comfortable rest areas. Check our location here
What are your hours?
Our hours vary by service. Boarding drop-offs, pick-ups, and daycare hours will be listed clearly on the booking website.
Are you insured and licensed?
Yes — DoggyLand is fully licensed and insured for daycare, boarding, grooming, and transport.
How do pick-up and drop-off work?
We offer scheduled curbside pick-up/drop-off times. For transport services, our DoggyLand Bus can pick up your pup at home.
Do you separate dogs by size or temperament?
Yes — we group dogs based on size, energy level, and temperament to keep everyone safe and happy.
How secure is your facility?
Our facility features fencing, double-gate entries, secured indoor areas, and supervised play at all times.
What kind of enrichment do you offer?
Outdoor play, structured activities, DOGTV, toys, obstacles, socialization, scent games, and quiet zones.
Is staff on-site 24/7?
Our owners live right on the property, so your dog is never far from trusted supervision. While staff are not physically inside the building 24/7, we have continuous individual kennel monitoring through our 24/7 camera system, which streams directly to the owners’ home.
This allows us to keep eyes on the dogs at all times, respond quickly if needed, and maintain a safe, comfortable environment — even overnight.
